What is an Angle Valve?
An angle valve is a type of globe valve designed with inlet and outlet ports set at 90 degrees to each other. It operates using linear motion to position the valve plug against the seat, controlling flow through the valve.
Angle valves are commonly used in applications such as boiler feedwater and heater drain services, as well as in systems where space is limited. Their design allows them to function as both a valve and an elbow, reducing piping requirements.
These valves are available with various internal configurations, including cage-guided trim, expanded outlet designs, restricted trim, or outlet liners. These options help minimise erosion and protect against flashing and cavitation damage in demanding service conditions.
