You may already know the voice—now it’s time to know the face. Chris Decuzar is stepping out of the office and into customer sites, bringing his deep technical expertise directly to you.
Many of our customers are already familiar with Chris for his approachable, solutions focused style and strong technical knowledge. With over nine years of experience within our business, Chris has built an impressive breadth of understanding across multiple disciplines, making him a trusted technical resource.
A Strong Engineering Foundation
Chris began his engineering career in the Philippines at a Japanese electronics manufacturing plant, before moving to Emerson as a Technical Support Engineer within the Measurement group. Through dedication and capability, he progressed to Project Team Lead, building strong experience in both technical delivery and customer support.
In 2012, Chris relocated to New Zealand, joining Emerson as an Internal Sales Engineer within the Measurement group. When the Measurement business transitioned to Custom Controls as a Local Business Partner, Chris moved with the team. During this time, he led the Measurement Applications Engineers, playing a key role in training, mentoring, and technical development.
Broad Technical Capability
Always keen to challenge himself, Chris later transitioned into the Valve Applications team, where he quickly mastered a complex and highly engineered product range, including Fisher Control Valves. His ability to move seamlessly between measurement and valve technologies has made him one of our most versatile technical specialists.
Now Supporting Customers as Account Manager
Chris has now stepped into the role of Account Manager, where he will be working even more closely with customers. He’ll be onsite learning about processes firsthand, applying his well rounded product knowledge, and helping identify improvements and integrated solutions tailored to each application.
When asked what he’s looking forward to most in his new role, Chris shared that he’s excited about putting a face to the names of customers he’s worked with for many years—some dating back as far as 2012—as well as visiting customer sites and gaining a first hand understanding of their businesses and processes.
Backed by our experienced technical and support teams, Chris ensures customers continue to receive the reliable service, technical depth, and support they have come to expect from Custom Controls.
We’re confident Chris will excel in this new role and look forward to the value he’ll continue delivering to our customers.
